Locate College Park Busted Mugshots

Searching for College Park busted mugshots starts with a question that matters more here than in most cities: which agency made the arrest? College Park has no standalone municipal police department in the official material reviewed. County police, campus police, transit police, state police, and other forces can each hold different parts of an event. County corrections may hold an intake record if county booking followed. A report or image reflects an accusation at one point in time, not a conviction or proof of present custody.

College Park Arrest Agency First

College Park’s public-safety system is split. The city directs residents to Prince George’s County Police information, while the University of Maryland Police Department handles campus matters. Metro Transit Police, Maryland State Police, and Maryland-National Capital Park Police may also act within the area. A city label in a news story does not identify the records custodian.

The Maryland Manual counted 34,740 College Park residents in the 2020 Census. Despite that size, no official city booking roster, same-day named log, or city photo page was located. The county’s Correctional Center is relevant when a person enters PGCDOC custody. A UMPD report can remain in the campus system even if later processing occurs elsewhere. Write down the agency name before making any call.

Where College Park Busted Mugshots Appear

No single page covers every College Park arrest. Official records are divided by agency and custody state. The following order puts custodians ahead of media and unofficial sites.

The official county locator is a phone-contact page. It does not display name fields, charges, bond, booking dates, or mugshots. RecentlyBooked’s county page had no College Park filter and no recent entries at review. No verified Prince George’s County section was found at several other national mugshot sites.

Why College Park Maps Miss Arrests

The city Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness page points to PGPD information and crime maps, but its stated scope can exclude UMPD, Metro Transit Police, State Police, and M-NCPPC Police activity. The map can therefore be accurate for the reports it receives while remaining incomplete for the whole city. An empty map result does not show that no campus or transit arrest occurred.

This exclusion problem is the city’s most important records clue. Use a location to identify the likely jurisdiction: campus property may point toward UMPD, a transit setting toward Metro, and other areas toward PGPD or another force. Then verify from the named agency rather than asking the city to create a combined record that it does not possess.

Note: “College Park” describes geography, while the badge, booking decision, and custody destination determine where the actual records live.

Find Who Got Busted in College Park

A careful lookup follows the event across systems. Do not assume that UMPD, PGPD, or city staff can see one another’s complete files.

  1. Capture the full name, date, exact location, and agency shown on a citation, release, or story.
  2. Contact that agency’s records office for its incident or arrest report.
  3. For county custody, call PGCDOC at 301-952-7164, 301-952-7025, or 301-952-7102.
  4. If county intake occurred, request the Booking Record or photograph from the Corrections custodian.
  5. Search Maryland Case Search for the docket, hearings, and disposition.
  6. After a state-prison commitment, use Maryland DPSCS rather than the county line.

A person booked and released may no longer produce a current-custody confirmation even though historical records remain. Conversely, a campus report does not prove county booking. The Prince George’s County booking guide covers the phone locator, court route, and state or federal handoffs in detail.

College Park Booking Photo Timing

When county regional processing occurs, the Corrections General Order documents fingerprinting, criminal-history and wanted checks, commissioner presentation, and Livescan photos. Intake staff make front and right-profile face images and may photograph scars, marks, or tattoos. This is firm evidence that PGCDOC creates photographs during booking.

The same policy does not say that those photos appear on a public website. No official publication schedule, searchable result table, or persistence period was found. A same-day PGPD post may use an arrest image, a surveillance frame, a vehicle, or no image. UMPD may keep its own report without operating a public mugshot feed. The correct wording is “photo taken during county booking,” not “photo posted online.”

Request College Park Busted Records

College Park has a municipal MPIA form for records that the city itself holds. That form does not make city hall the custodian of a UMPD file, PGPD report, or county intake photograph. Submit to the agency that created the record. For a campus arrest, UMPD Records is the direct official route. For a PGPD arrest, use PGPD Records. For a county Booking Record, use PGCDOC.

The UMPD Records unit is at 7569 Baltimore Avenue, College Park, MD 20742, with phone 301-405-3555 and a public-record request link. The county Corrections custodian is Capt. Damian Green, Prince George’s County Correctional Center, 13400 Dille Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772, 301-952-7304. A useful request names the person, date, agency, case or docket number when known, and the specific existing report or photo.

The county MPIA page says the first two search hours are free, while later search or preparation charges can apply. It does not promise one booking-photo response time. PGPD’s published report process has its own fee and approval estimate, but those terms should not be applied automatically to a UMPD or Corrections request.

College Park Busted Mugshots in News

Local news fills part of the gap for College Park. The PGPD News Blog posts selected incidents, and Streetcar Suburbs reports closely on College Park and its neighbors. County cases sometimes surface through WTOP, NBC4, FOX 5 DC, WJLA, or the State's Attorney, though only when a story earns one. Bookings rarely drive that editorial calendar.

Pictures need careful reading. An agency image might depict someone arrested, someone wanted, a surveillance frame, or a piece of evidence. A newsroom photo may simply show a courthouse or a street scene. Calling any of these a booking shot, without attribution, misstates what it is. A story's date tells you nothing about custody today.

Unofficial pages trail behind newsrooms and tend to go stale fast. RecentlyBooked claims county coverage yet returned no current results. Mugshots.com, Arrests.org, BustedNewspaper, and Mugshots.zone each lack a verified local county section. The full comparison lives at Mugshots in the News.

College Park Custody Changes

A District Court Commissioner takes up the release question soon after booking. Maryland Case Search then opens the public docket to anyone. The vocabulary trips people up. "Bond" describes a condition of release. "Disposition" means the outcome written down when a case closes. Juvenile, shielded, expunged, and otherwise protected matters stay out of public search results entirely.

Whatever you find, weigh it against the current custodians. PGCDOC answers detention questions for the county by phone. VINE sends custody and court-event alerts for covered cases, though it posts no photos. DPSCS tracks state incarceration after commitment. Federal and immigration locators each cover their own separate systems. A dated clipping or unofficial image replaces none of those official checks.

The paper trail scatters after release. UMPD may keep a campus report, PGCDOC an intake file, and Maryland Courts the docket itself. One correction sent to city hall will not ripple through those independent systems. When a case ends favorably, get the official disposition and contact each record holder directly. Maryland law can limit public access after shielding or expungement, but no single College Park request wipes every office's copy.
